Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)has been named “Elite Supplier” by Lockheed Martin for the third consecutive year.

Lockheed Martin first recognized IAI as an elite supplier in 2002 when the company developed horizontal folding stabilizers of the Black Hawk helicopter in UH/HH-60M configuration that not only weighed 20% less but also was priced lower. IAI remains the sole supplier of this product to Lockheed Martin.

The horizontal folding stabilizer,  a proprietary IAI development made of composite materials, It controls the ascent and descent of the helicopter.
