The business aviation services specialist Jet Aviation is marking a significant milestone in the Asia-Pacific region, as its Singapore facility celebrates its 30th anniversary. The hub, officially established in 1995, has grown to become the company’s largest centre in Asia, offering maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), refurbishment and modification, fixed-base operator (FBO) services, and full aircraft support.
Located at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore, the site serves as a strategic gateway for global business aviation operations into the region. According to the company’s own location page, it has been “offering comprehensive maintenance and flight services to customers from all over the world since 1995”.
In the company’s press statement, the milestone was framed as a testament not only to the growth of the facility itself, but also to Singapore’s rise as a centre of aerospace and business aviation in the Asia-Pacific market.
Over the three decades the facility has expanded in line with evolving regional aviation demands. The site has introduced FBO operations at Singapore’s main aviation gateway in 2006, launched a new 5,000 m² maintenance hangar in 2014, and a further 3,850 m² hangar in 2017. More recently, in 2023 the Singapore hub introduced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in partnership with FlyORO, and by late 2024 achieved the International Standard for Business Aviation Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 3 accreditation. In addition, Jet Aviation Singapore became the third Jet Aviation site to join the Airbus Corporate Jets Service Centre Network—and the only such network member in the Asia-Pacific region.
Singapore has long been a major aerospace hub, with its sector contributing billions of Singapore dollars and employing tens of thousands of people. The presence of a globally-branded, full-service provider like Jet Aviation underlines how business aviation service providers have followed global companies in establishing local capability—rather than needing to ship aircraft back to Europe or the US for major maintenance or modifications.
