China’s Jiangsu Hezheng Special Equipment Co., Ltd. is showcasing for the first time a novel Unmanned Ground Vehicle called “Jiehu Unmanned High Motor Platform” at the ongoing Airshow China 2018 in Zhuhai.
The Jiehu unmanned high motor platform can carry out autonomous, remote controlled operation capability. It has a payload capacity of 1.2 tons and can carry infrared thermography, visible light camera, laser radar, MMW radar, ultrasonic radar, and has been designed for surveillance, reconnaissance, cargo, fire support, or medevac missions.
In IR mode, it detects medium size vehicles at up to 10 km, or an individual at up to 4 km. In visible mode, the vehicle can detect vehicles at up to 15 km, individual at up to 6 km. The laser rangefinder system has a maximum detection range of 15 km.
The RCWS module can be armed with either 12.7 mm HMG, 5.56 mm or 7.62 mm machine guns, or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
The vehicle weighs 2850 kg, is 4800 mm long, 2300 mm large and 2050 mm high. It has a maximum speed of 120 km/h on road. Its unique wheels have a diameter of 1.92 m.
