The Amman-based maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) powerhouse Joramco has asserted its dominance in the international aerospace sector by securing a series of high-profile heavy maintenance agreements during the MRO Middle East 2026 exhibition in Dubai. Acting as the engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), the company leveraged the 4-5 February event to announce significant partnerships with European, Turkish, Latin American, and Central Asian carriers. The most notable of these include a strategic multi-year deal with German carrier Condor and a significant entry into the Uzbek market through agreements with FLYONE Asia and Air Samarkand. These contracts collectively reinforce Joramco's position as a premier global hub for narrowbody and widebody airframe maintenance.
A cornerstone of the event was the signing of a five-year agreement with the German airline Condor on 4 February 2026. This comprehensive contract tasks Joramco with performing base maintenance checks across Condor’s entire modern Airbus fleet, including the A320ceo, A320neo, and the long-range A330neo. Simultaneously, Joramco renewed its long-standing maintenance agreement with Mexico’s leading cargo operator, mas (formerly MasAir), to service its A330 fleet throughout 2026. These deals signify a robust demand for Joramco’s high-capacity facilities at Queen Alia International Airport, which can house up to 22 aircraft across its six hangars.
Original reports from industry observers highlight that Joramco also successfully targeted the Turkish and Central Asian corridors during the Dubai summit. On 5 February 2026, the company formalised a new partnership with ULS Airlines Cargo for A310 base maintenance, further diversifying its widebody portfolio. These announcements were coupled with the landmark deals for Uzbekistan’s FLYONE Asia and Air Samarkand, both of which will send their Airbus A320 fleets to Jordan for heavy checks. The flurry of activity at MRO Middle East 2026 serves as a clear indicator of the industry's shift towards reliable, independent MRO providers that can offer stability amidst global supply chain volatility.
The agreements with FLYONE Asia and Air Samarkand are particularly significant as they represent Joramco’s aggressive expansion into the Asia Pacific and CIS aviation markets. As Central Asian nations modernise their fleets, the demand for sophisticated engineering support has outpaced local capacity. By capturing these contracts, Joramco is positioning itself as the primary technical partner for the New Silk Road’s aviation corridor. This "Eastward" shift is further supported by a renewed six-year supply agreement with Satair, an Airbus Services company, ensuring that Joramco maintains a steady pipeline of Airbus Standard Hardware to support its growing list of Asian and European clients.
Reflecting on the successful week in Dubai, Fraser Currie, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at DAE Engineering, remarked that welcoming new partners like Condor and FLYONE Asia reflects the company's growing role in supporting both established global brands and fast-developing aviation markets. He noted that these long-term agreements are a testament to the trust airlines place in Joramco's operational excellence. Adam Voss, Chief Executive Officer of Joramco, added that the new contract with ULS Airlines Cargo and the renewal with mas reaffirm the facility’s position as a global MRO provider of choice, particularly for specialized cargo and widebody operations. These executive sentiments underscore a period of unprecedented growth for the Jordanian firm as it scales its operations to meet the evolving needs of the global aerospace fleet.
