Jordan's King Abdullah II toured the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 on Wednesday, visiting exhibits showcasing the latest developments in aerospace, defence and next-generation aviation technologies.
During the visit, the monarch met representatives from companies developing advanced aircraft systems, electric propulsion technologies, drones and artificial intelligence-powered aviation solutions, according to a statement from Jordan's Royal Court.
The tour also included displays featuring electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, urban air mobility infrastructure, drone cargo services, AI-enabled unmanned aircraft systems and engineering design technologies.
The visit comes as governments and aerospace companies accelerate investment in emerging aviation technologies, including electric aircraft, autonomous systems and urban air mobility, which are expected to play a growing role in both commercial aviation and defence applications.
The Farnborough International Airshow, one of the world's largest aerospace and defence exhibitions, has brought together more than 1,400 companies from 41 countries to showcase new aircraft, defence systems, space technologies and aviation innovations.
The biennial event serves as a key platform for governments, manufacturers and defence firms to announce partnerships, aircraft orders and technology initiatives while discussing the future of the global aerospace industry.
