Airbus recently secured a firm order for one C295 medium transport aircraft from the Border Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agreement also includes training, spares and ground support equipment.  The aircraft has been ordered in transport configuration and will undertake border control activities and homeland security operations.

The new C295 has proven its reliability and cost efficiency while operating in low temperature regions.

This latest order will take the total fleet of C295s in Kazakhstan to nine aircraft. The Border Service of Kazakhstan is the 31st operator of the type, which has received orders for up to 13 aircraft in the CIS.
