The UAV, which is in the developmental stage, as a wingspan of more than 4 meters and is about 3 meters in length. It has a carrying capacity of 30 kilograms and is powered by a 20hp gasoline engine.

“We plan to undertake flight tests soon and make few changes with onboard electronics and autopilot control,” Tair Balbayev, Director- General of KazTechinnovations tells Daily News.

The UAV has already caught the attention of the local military as well as international defence agencies. “Besides the Kazakhstan armed forces, Hungary and few other neighbouring countries have evinced keen interest in the UAV,” Balbayev informs.
