KEVA DRONE SHOWCASES CONDOR UAV AT ADEX

ADEX 2021 marks the public debut of Condor, KEVA Drone’s new high maneuver, long-endurance drone for military / industrial use.

“Condor is a multicoptor drone that weighs less than 5 kg and is equipped with various mission equipment, including optical, thermal and multi-spectral sensor,” said DongHo Shin, General Manager of the company’s Business Development Team.

“It is multi-purpose, has a streamlined airframe structure and can be folded for easy storage and transportation. We also provide efficient maintenance support to our customers.”

According to the company, Condor can be used for a variety of purposes, including military and police operations, 3D cartography, precision agriculture, port facility monitoring, disaster relief and inspection of facilities. The South Korean company is currently focused on the domestic market, but has its eyes set on securing international buyers for Condor and its other products. “We believe our products will have buyers in places like Africa and Southeast Asia. In fact, we conducted a three-dimensional marine survey system in Cirbon, Indonesia, using Mapper.”

As the name suggests, KD-2 Mapper is high-resolution mapping fixed-wing drone with automatic take-off and landing and cobra landing capabilities. Capable of up to one hour of flight time, Mapper has a cruise speed of 50 km/h and a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The UAV is capable of landing on water and is equipped with a 42-megapixel high-resolution camera. Weighing 2 kg, the drone’s maximum payload is 600 grams. Magni, which is among the products that the company is showcasing at ADEX 2021, was developed in cooperation with Israeli company Elbit Systems. “We manufacture the UAV and market it in South Korea. Elbit Systems was involved in the planning stage.”

Keva Drone is one of the companies in Daejeon Technopark that is showcasing its products at the show. According to Kyung-Hung Kim. Director of Intelligent Robot Center, the Government provides financial and marketing support for companies that function at the Technopark.
