L3Harris Technologies and
Al Seer Marine presented an advanced Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) and demonstrated live maritime autonomous capabilities during
IDEX 2021.
The USV is outfitted with L3Harris’ ASView advanced autonomous control system, the Falcon-III RF-7800W high-capacity line-of-sight radio with advanced SMART Antenna, and the WESCAM MX-10MS maritime electro-optical/infrared imaging system.
The USV configuration supports different maritime missions, including information, surveillance and reconnaissance, coastal patrol and interdiction missions. The Al Seer Marine USV can operate in a fully autonomous mode, including COLREG's aware collision avoidance, navigating the waterways at speeds of 40+ knots and can be remotely piloted from an onshore or ship-based ground control station.
L3Harris has delivered more than 125 ASVs and optionally manned vehicles to defense and commercial customers throughout the world. The company's autonomous surface vehicles serves a variety of military, security, offshore energy and scientific missions.
Al Seer Marine’s core capabilities are in designing, manufacturing, integrating, training, and maintaining USV platforms, providing a full through-life support package as a complete capability provider. The company offers multi-mission, modular USVs in a range of sizes and complexity involving various technologies and L3Harris’ integrated ASView control system uses artificial intelligence to execute advanced autonomous navigation with collision avoidance capability.
