Magnaghi Aeronautica Group ( MA Group) has won a contract to develop, manufacture and qualify nose and main landing gears structures for the Lilium Jet.
The agreement with Lilium marks a significant evolution in MA Group’s global landing gear solutions within the regional electric air mobility market.
The company, which has its headquarters in Italy and offices in countries such as the U.S., Brazil, U.K, and Turkey, is a leading manufacturer of landing gears and actuation components. It will tailor the landing gear system for the Lilium Jet’s unique design and will contribute to achieving the take-off and landing comfort performances of the emission-free aircraft.

Magnaghi Aeronautica, the operating parent company of the Group, designs, and manufactures hydraulic and electro-mechanical landing and actuation systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, civil aviation, and defense. While Salver specializes in the development and production of aerospace structures made of advanced high-performance composite materials, Metal Sud focuses on surface treatments and special processes for the protection of aeronautical components.
Magnaghi do Brazil is specialized in the production of assemblies and aeronautical components while U.S-based Blair-HSM produces landing systems and complex aerospace components. Air Marine and Airlift Hydraulics, the other company in the Group, supplies landing gear MRO services for aircraft primes and integrators besides providing plating services and surface treatments for the aerospace industry.
