Mitsubishi Electric is displaying its anti-drone, shipboard monitoring, and helicopter satellite communication systems at the ongoing show.

Its “Drone Deterrence System” has what the company called with “one-touch instant jamming mode”, utilizing automatic drone signal detection in all weather and lighting conditions. It is also compact and lightweight enough for quick deployment weighing only 24 kg for both its antenna and TR unit. Its jamming radius is approximately 3 km depending on the configuration and operational terrain.

The Shipboard Monitoring System the company is bringing to the show is a compact and lightweight unit (70 kg), boasting easy and “plug & play” installation while offering three modes of operations: Uncooled IR, Cooled IR, and High Sensitivity Visible Light. Depending on the mode, its 3-axis stabilized camera is able to track surface and coastal targets with resolutions ranging from 640×480 to 1920×1080 pixels.

The company’s “Helicopter Satellite Communication System” features an auto-tracking antenna that synchronizes through helicopter rotor blades’ rotation. It promises a steady transmission without interruption providing up to 10Mbps high-definition, real-time, video transmission. The entire system weighs only 50 kg for both the outboard antenna and the inboard controllers and can be controlled either from the carrying helicopter or a ground station which also includes bandwidth assignment for multiple helicopters.

With these products, Mitsubishi Electric is also expecting to expand its presence and market opportunity in the Philippines and in the South East Asia region.
