Leading Turkish defence firm MKE is showcasing its TOLGA Short-Range Air Defence System integrated on Hungarian-made KATICA unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) at Eurosatory 2026, demonstrating one of the first examples of a SHORAD capability deployed on a UGV platform. The integrated configuration is being shown at the Hungarian National Pavilion.
The company has teamed up with Hungary-based HT Division Zrt., for the integration of the TOLGA System onto unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) platforms. The collaboration covers system integration activities, joint engineering and adaptation studies, testing and validation processes, technical personnel training, and the evaluation of potential joint production and export opportunities. By combining TOLGA’s layered air defence capability with autonomous mobility, the cooperation aims to deliver a flexible and highly mobile solution capable of operating in demanding operational environments.
Developed in line with the “Effective–Simple–Affordable” approach, the MKE TOLGA provides a comprehensive solution against evolving aerial threats on the modern battlefield. Designed to counter drones, loitering munitions, cruise missiles and other asymmetric aerial threats, the system combines hard-kill and soft-kill capabilities within a single modular architecture.
TOLGA integrates 12.7 mm, 20 mm and 35 mm weapon systems, MKE’s anti-drone ammunition family, GÖKBÖRÜ AESA Radar, electro-optical sensors and a soft-kill jammer system. Thanks to its modular design, all subsystems can be deployed both in fixed installations and on mobile platforms, providing a scalable layered air defence capability for a wide range of operational requirements. Recently enhanced with the Acoustic Detection System, Laser Weapon System and ENFAL-17 Missile, TOLGA has further strengthened its multi-layered defence architecture.
MKE has already secured international cooperation agreements for the joint production and export of the TOLGA SHORAD System with partners in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
