Chinese defence company NORINCO is promoting its Red Arrow12 E anti-tank missile system and is looking for customers in the MENA region.
The Red Arrow is a portable, fire-and-forget anti-tank missile capable of hitting tanks, bunkers, ships and helicopters, with a penetration capability of 1,100 millimeters. The missile system adopts an IR imaging seeker for all-weather day-and-night use, and an equally-effective daytime model using a TV imaging seeker is also available. The TV version has a maximum range of 4,000 m, while the IR version has only a maximum range of 2,000 m.
The HJ-12 enables soldiers to lock on target, fire and then move on without maintaining position to guide the missile to its target, providing tactical advantages.
Late last year, the Chinese company for the first time exported the third-generation anti-tank weapon system to an undisclosed customer.
