Turkish defence manufacturer Nurol Makina officially presented its flagship tactical 4x4 armoured vehicles at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX 2026) in Baku on 30 September 2026. Participating at Stand A116 in Hall 3 at the Baku Expo Center, the company displayed large-scale models of its combat-proven platforms, including the Ejder Yalçın 4x4, NMS 4x4, and NMS-L 4x4.
The three-day defence exhibition, running through 2 October 2026, serves as a strategic crossroads for military procurement across Eurasia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Designed for high mobility, protection, and mission adaptability, these armoured platforms address the shifting operational security requirements of modern armed forces facing asymmetric threats.
According to an official corporate press release issued by Nurol Makina, the showcase highlights 50 years of engineering expertise in manufacturing versatile land systems. Defence observers noted that the company's participation reinforces its growing international export footprint, particularly in regions prioritizing modular vehicle fleets capable of rapid deployment.
Strategic Regional Capabilities
The Ejder Yalçın 4x4 tactical wheeled armoured vehicle forms the core of the display, offering high protection against ballistic threats, landmines, and improvised explosive devices. Operating in more than 10 countries worldwide, the platform features a flexible payload capacity that allows security forces to integrate custom operational equipment across varied geographical terrains.
Complementing the heavy platform, the NMS 4x4 integrates scalable armour technology and reaches top speeds of up to 140 kilometres per hour. Currently deployed across five international nations, the NMS 4x4 provides tactical flexibility and is actively utilized for specialized protection duties by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
Modular Lightweight Innovation
Nurol Makina also highlighted its newest development, the NMS-L 4x4 light armoured vehicle, tailored specifically for reconnaissance, patrol, and special operations units. Featuring a low silhouette and modular configuration, the NMS-L enables rapid tactical response while maintaining high agility in complex combat environments.
The expanded portfolio reflects broader defence modernization trends across the Asia-Pacific region, where military planners increasingly seek cost-effective, multi-role light armoured platforms. As regional armed forces seek to balance strategic partnerships between major global powers, Turkish land systems offer a viable, combat-proven alternative for sovereign defense requirements.
By combining scalable protection with multi-mission flexibility, Nurol Makina continues to expand its global supply chain presence. The platform versatility ensures that security forces can rapidly configure vehicles for direct combat, border security, or humanitarian relief missions.
