COBRA II Variants Displayed
Having successfully served in a wide range of missions including border protection, internal security, and peacekeeping operations in Türkiye and export markets, and currently serving active roles
with more than 20 end users worldwide, Otokar is displaying two variants of the COBRA II at IDEF. A Romanian COBRA II vehicle equipped with an Open Turret is on display, in addition to another version equipped with a 25mm MIZRAK turret.
The 25mm MIZRAK turret, in particular, stands out as a critical innovation for mission effectiveness and tactical superiority in field operations, combining the superior firepower of its high caliber with its compact and lightweight design.
The COBRA II stands out with its high level of protection, mobility, large interior volume, and payload capacity. It offers superior protection against ballistic, mine, and IED threats. Delivering high performance in the most challenging terrain and climatic conditions, the COBRA II is perfectly suited to a variety of missions.
The COBRA II Mine-Resistant Vehicle (COBRA II MRAP) is attracting attention particularly in export markets and was developed to provide high survivability in risky areas. It meets user expectations for high ballistic and mine protection, as well as high payload, along with unparalleled mobility, unlike other vehicles in this class. Compared to similar mine-resistant vehicles worldwide, the COBRA II MRAP's low center of gravity provides superior mobility and unparalleled handling on both stabilized roads and off-road terrain. Capable of carrying up to 11 personnel with various layout options, the vehicle can be configured with 3 or 5 doors to suit user requirements.
MULTI-WHEELED MODULE ARMORED
Otokar's ARMA multi-wheeled modular armored vehicle, boasting high tactical and technical specifications, is being showcased in two different variants and five different equipment options. The ARMA 6x6 Armored Combat Vehicle with a 25 mm MIZRAK Turret and the ARMA 8x8 Armored Combat Vehicle with a 30 mm MIZRAK Turret are on display at the Otokar booth. Offering superior mobility, high mine and ballistic protection, and options for medium and high-caliber weapon system integration, the
ARMA serves in peacekeeping and humanitarian aid operations in the most challenging terrain and climate conditions.
ARMA II
Developed by Otokar considering asymmetric threats, the ARMA II 8x8 offers the world's highest ballistic, mine, and improvised explosive device (IED) protection in its class, combined with optimal all-terrain capability. With a maximum loaded weight of 40 tons, the vehicle provides increased payload and protection under combat conditions, while also enabling the integration of heavy weapon systems up to 120 mm caliber. The ARMA II is being exhibited with the John Cockerill 105 mm turret at IDEF 2025. The high-tech ARMA II features a six-cylinder, turbodiesel, 720 hp engine. Having successfully completed all tests after a three-year development period, the ARMA II offers a platform suitable for a wide range of missions, from armored combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers to command and control vehicles and air defense missions.
TULPAR Shown for First Time in Türkiye with 120 mm Turret
Otokar’s TULPAR Modular Armored Tracked Vehicle stands out with its superior mobility, high firepower, and strong survivability. At IDEF 2025, TULPAR is being exhibited in two different configurations equipped with the 30 mm MIZRAK Turret and the Leonardo HITFACT MkII 120 mm Turret.
Thanks to its modular design with an expandable capacity between 28,000 kg and 45,000 kg, common hull and subsystems can be used for different configurations. Tested in the harshest climatic conditions and harsh terrain, TULPAR boasts superior ballistic and mine protection.
Offering effective solutions in missions requiring high firepower up to 120 mm, TULPAR can also operate in narrow streets, light bridges, and wooded terrain, areas where main battle tanks are unable to operate due to their weight.
SCORPION II
Based on the globally proven AKREP armored vehicle family, first developed in the 1990s, the AKREP II is designed as an armored reconnaissance, surveillance, and weapons platform. Designed to meet the current and future needs of modern armies with its low silhouette, high mobility, and survivability, the AKREP II stands out with its modular design, capable of carrying weapons up to 90 mm. At IDEF 2025, the AKREP II 4x4 High Caliber Weapon Platform Vehicle will be showcased with the John Cockerill 90 mm turret system. The AKREP II's permanent all-wheel drive system and optional steerable rear axle provide the vehicle with unparalleled manoeuvrability. Boasting superior manoeuvrability and handling in all types of terrain, including mud, snow, and puddles, the AKREP II offers users a compact design and high levels of protection with its U-shaped power pack located at the rear of the vehicle.
