Pratt & Whitney signed a part repair service award agreement with Turbine Controls, Inc. (TC MRO) at the MRO Americas conference in Atlanta, Georgia, which concluded on Thursday.
The signing is the first with a third-party repair supplier for Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, and will help strengthen the aftermarket network for repairs on the PW1500 engine. Through this deal, TC MRO will be involved in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of both static and rotating components, including critical life limited parts.
“The agreement with TC MRO allows Pratt & Whitney to continue to expand its global MRO repair network,” said Heather Walton, senior director, Aftermarket Supply Chain. “TC MRO has been a long term supplier to Pratt & Whitney and we recognize their expertise in part repairs. Their proven performance and dedication to continuous improvement aligns with Pratt & Whitney values to exceed customer expectations and support the growing GTF PW1500 fleet.”
Turbine Controls, Inc., a global aerospace supplier, also provides repair services on a variety of operational commercial engines and has been a Pratt & Whitney supplier for over a decade.
The GTF MRO network is part of Pratt & Whitney’s EngineWise service portfolio, which provides engine operators with a variety of aftermarket services to maximize engine performance and fleet availability.
