Rafael Advanced Defence Systems is eyeing regional requirements for its new Typhoon Mk30 C-UAS Remote Controlled Weapon System (RWCS) which is the latest entrant to the portfolio of the highly successful Typhoon RCWS family.
The Israeli firm already has export orders for the Typhoon Mk30 C-UAS.
Speaking to GBP Daily News, a company official stated that key improvements to the Typhoon Mk30 C-UAS include improved stabilization, EO image processing, and automatic target detection to aid operators in tracking small, dynamic targets. The system has an effective range of 3-3.5 km, capable of engaging both surface and aerial targets.
The incorporation of automatic fire correction technology is also being highlighted by Rafael, as it reduces the number of rounds required to destroy the target. Future upgrades will include additional sensors and improved image processing to enhance lethality and precision.
Rafale announced recently that it had successfully conduction another advanced field test this February of
the combat proven TYPHOON 30 Remote Weapon Station (RWS) in Israel.
In this test, Rafael showcased the system's enhanced ability to neutralize drones at various ranges and demonstrated its modular adaptability on a 20-foot modular surface. The TYPHOON 30's combat-proven C-UAS capabilities address current battlefield challenges and the need to protect strategic assets.
