Rafael, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary, will showcase its state-of-the-art systems and technologies at the Singapore Airshow, including Stunner, Iron Dome, Python-5, Spice-250 and Drone Dome.
Stunner, an advanced multi-mission interceptor against a variety of asymmetric short-range tactical ballistic missiles, large caliber rockets, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial systems, is the interceptor of the operational David’s Sling Air Defense System. C-Dome is an operational Naval Area Defense System that is designed to effectively protect combat vessels against a large set of modern threats, using the combat-proven Iron Dome interceptor. Iron Dome provides protection against short range artillery rockets, mortars and UAVs.
Python-5 is a full sphere air-to-air IR missile and air defense missile while I-Derby is an active radar air-to-air missile that incorporates the innovative I-Derby software-defined RF seeker, combined with a unique increase of kinematic performance, with ranges of up to 100 km. Spice 250 is a stand-off air-to-ground gliding bomb capable of precise hits at ranges of up to 100 km while the Spike family consists of multi-purpose tactical missiles, for ranges of 1.5 km-30 km.
Some of the other systems on display at the event are Reccelite XR, a real-time multi-spectral reconnaissance system for stand-in and stand-off missions, and Recce-U XR – a real-time ISR system for UAVs that is based on the RecceLite XR system. The company’s Drone Dome detects, tracks, and neutralize drones either by jamming their communication or destroying them using a laser beam.
