To meet evolving Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission requirements, Redwire has announced two advanced additions to its Octopus ISR payload portfolio at Eurosatory 26: the upgraded Octopus E140 MWIR and the new Octopus E180 HD MWIR.
As ISR missions become increasingly complex, operators require more than high-quality imagery. Success depends on the ability to detect, identify, track, and accurately geolocate targets across diverse operational environments while maintaining platform flexibility and stand-off safety. Together, the Octopus E140 MWIR and the new Octopus E180 HD MWIR provide mission-ready solutions for operators requiring long-range performance, precision geolocation, and all-weather ISR capability across a wide range of platforms.
The Octopus E140 MWIR delivers long-range ISR capability in a compact, sub-15-inch-class payload designed for smaller uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), tactical ISR aircraft, and SWaP-constrained platforms. The upgraded system combines MWIR sensing, HD EO imaging, integrated GPS/INS geolocation, and advanced image processing to provide reliable intelligence collection in smoke, fog, dust, low light, and other degraded visual environments.
The Octopus E180 HD MWIR expands capability for medium and large UAVs, helicopters, and manned ISR platforms by introducing a high-definition cooled MWIR sensor alongside a 4K EO camera. Designed for long-range target identification and stand-off surveillance, the E180 HD MWIR enables operators to collect actionable intelligence from greater distances while maintaining image clarity and operational safety.
The E140 MWIR and E180 HD MWIR provide a scalable ISR solution that supports missions ranging from tactical surveillance and disaster response to border security, force protection, maritime operations, search and rescue, and long-range reconnaissance. By combining advanced sensing, precision stabilization, and real-time intelligence generation, they help operators see farther, understand more, and act faster in the moments that matter most.
