: May 24, 2018 - : 5:07 pm

Russia’s Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems is offering its capabilities of full satellite production and in-orbit control and maintenance of satellites to countries in the Central Asian Region.

The enterprise, named after academician MF Reshetnev, is exhibiting the models of satellites that are currently carrying out their missions in orbits, particularly communications satellites Express-AM5 and Gonets-M, a navigation satellite Glonass-K, a data-relay satellite Lutch-5A and a model of a satellite built on the ISS-Reshetnev advanced platform Express-1000.

“We carry out full satellite production cycle, which includes applied research works, design and development, manufacture and testing of spacecraft… Here we wish to promote our products to reach out the dynamically developing Asian market,” an official at Reshetnev Company tells Daily News on the sidelines of KADEX.

Satellites developed by ISS-Reshetnev make up 2/3rd of the Russian orbital constellation. The company has designed and manufactured over 1200 spacecraft for a wide range of applications including navigation, tele- vision and radio broadcasting and data relay. Its modern manufacturing facilities comprise more than 1000 items of equipment. Recently, Russia has successfully put into orbit its second military communication satellite of the Blagovest series built by Reshetnev.

The satellite is designed for high-speed Internet access, data transmission, television and radio programs, tele- phone and video conferencing.

The first Blagovest (“Good news” in Russian) was launched from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Aug. 17, 2017. Russia plans to deploy a group of four Blagovest satellites by 2020. Currently, Reshetnev is implementing over 40 projects for the design and manufacturing of satellites for various applications.
