Roketsan, a major part of the Turkish defence industry success story, is showcasing the in-development Cakir cruise missile and the SOM-J stand-off missile to the ongoing show,
The company, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, is also exhibiting a range of other products, including guidance kits and its smart munitions family.
The Cakir cruise missile has a range of over 150 km, a diameter of 270 mm and weighs 75 kg. The first UAV launched cruise missile, it has a modular design and a swarm/hybrid sensor. Cakir can be used launched from land, sea and air. The autonomous SOM-J stand-off missile has a range of 275 km, and weighs 140 kg. It is for use in land platforms. SOM-J's features include long range, low radar cross section, and selectable impact parameters. The TEBER Guidance Kit converts general purpose bombs into smart ones.
The company's smart munitions family includes the MAM-C micro munition, which is launched from UAVs, the MAM-T munition that can be launched from UAVs and light attack aircraft, and the MAM-L micro munition that is launched from UAVs. The MAM-L is capable of high precision against static and moving targets while MAM-T's high destructive power makes it stand out. The MAM-C is known for its agility against moving targets and its cost-effective precision by a single shot.
