Turkish missile specialist Roketsan is showcasing 122 mm artillery rockets designed and produced by the firm at the ongoing KADEX 2018. Roketsan’s 122 mm artillery rockets are well suited for the requirement to provide mass fire power with a wide coverage on high-payoff targets up to 40 kilometers with perfect accuracy and minimum dispersion.
The TR/TRB- 122 rockets developed and produced by Roketsan have demonstrated proven dispersion characteristics and are widely used by artillery units against area targets. TR/TRB-122 rockets also offer have the longest range combined with high flight sta- bility and small dispersion. While a High Explosive (HE) warhead is offered with the TR-122 rocket, a HE – fragmenta- tion warhead (with more than 5.500 steel balls) is provided with the TRB- 122 rocket.
Two different configurations of the TR/ TRB-122 rockets are in production – TR-122 and TRB-122 rockets, delivered in wooden storage and transportation boxes for steel tube launching and TR-122 and TRB-122 rockets, which are stored, transported and used in sealed pod. Sealed pods offer the advantages of no maintenance and protection of rockets against humidity, corrosion, shock and vibration throughout their shelf life.
The rockets delivered in this configuration also do not require a specialized workforce during storage and loading.
