Russian Helicopters is showcasing the newest version of its firefighting helicopter, the Ka-32А11М, at the ongoing IDEX. Russian Helicopters is also displaying two Ansats — for ambulance and police purposes, along with a Mi-38 in VIP version.

Ka-32А11М is considered as one of the best fire-fighting helicopters. It is easy to fly, highly maneuverable and can maintain a steady in hover. The Ka-32А11М is an effective fire-fighting helicopter in any climate condition and can successfully operate in extreme high and low temperatures. Moreover, the helicopter can be employed for horizontal fire extinguishing in high-rises, even in dense urban areas that are typical in the UAE and many other countries.

The light multi-purpose Ansat is now in series production at Kazan Helicopter Plant of Russian Helicopters The helicopter enjoys the most spacious cabin in its class — allowing for unconstrained operations of medical workers. It can accommodate a full-fledged intensive care module. Yet another advantage of Ansat helicopters is their high readiness for takeoff and the ability to land on small unprepared sites, for instance, on roads, as well as operate in urban areas. These features make the helicopter attractive for various services, including the police.

The Mi-38 VIP version is equipped for long-range flights. The helicopter is equipped with two Russian made TV7-117V engines with dust protection, insulating engines from sand when flying over desert. This is important for the Middle East countries such as the UAE. Depending on the equipment onboard, Mi-38 can fulfil a broad range of tasks, such as becoming Air Force One as part of the head of state flight detachment, and transporting passengers as well as cargo, including wheeled machines. In the VIP version, the helicopter is equipped to carry 14 passengers, accompanied by a flight attendant. The passenger version of the Mi-38 can carry up to 30 people.
