Our Bureau - : Aug 18, 2021 - : 6:03 am

Turkish firm FNSS is showcasing the firepower of the SANCAK Remote Controlled Turret (RCT) system on the PARS IV 6×6 Special Operations Vehicle at IDEF 2021.

The RCT, which was designed within the scope of FNSS’s PARS III 8×8 and 6×6 export project and first entered the inventory of the Oman Armed Forces, is fully ballistic protected, including the ammunition boxes, unlike its predecessors. Two SANCAK turret systems located at the front and rear of the PARS IV 6×6 Special Operations Vehicle are being exhibited together with the vehicle at the ongoing show.

SANCAK is a remote-controlled weapon system that can be equipped with a 12.7 mm / .50 calibre machine gun, 40 mm automatic grenade launcher and 7.62 mm machine gun thanks to its universal gun mount.
Ideal for close fire support, vehicle protection and surveillance missions, the RCT has been designed with the aim of providing effective firepower for all types of armoured or unarmoured, manned or unmanned land platforms and tactical vehicles.
