Northrop Grumman has selected SCD USA to provide the InfraRed (IR) solution to support its Next Generation Handheld Targeting System (NGHTS) for the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
SCD USA’s high performance and “Small Size, low Weight and Power (SWAP) infrared imaging solution, which is part of the company’s “Sparrow” product family was selected as it demonstrated compelling features that enabled the NGHTS system to meet the USMC’s demanding imaging and SWAP requirements.
“Our engineering and production teams ensured the rapid and seamless integration of our SWAP cooled IR solution into the Northrop Grumman solution,” said Mark Fydenkevez, CEO of SCD USA. “All of us at SCD USA are proud to be part of the NGHTS system that provides superior capability for our USMC troops.”
