Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines (SIA), will launch new flight services to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang, and Semarang between December 2025 and February 2026, further expanding its presence in Indonesia.
Flights to Labuan Bajo on Flores Island will start on 21 December 2025, operating twice weekly with Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The city is a gateway to Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is known for its surrounding islands, coral reefs, and cultural sites such as Wae Rebo Village.
Medan, North Sumatra’s capital, will receive daily Airbus A320 flights starting 1 February 2026. The city provides access to Lake Toba and features cultural landmarks including Maimun Palace, the Grand Mosque, and Tjong A Fie Mansion.
In Palembang, flights will begin 15 January 2026 with four weekly services on Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The South Sumatran capital is noted for its historical sites, such as the Great Mosque of Palembang and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Museum, and its vibrant traditional markets.
Flights to Semarang, the capital of Central Java, will commence on 23 December 2025, with three weekly Airbus A320 flights increasing to four weekly services from 1 January 2026. Semarang is recognized for its Dutch colonial architecture, cultural landmarks including Lawang Sewu and the Great Mosque of Central Java, and a rich culinary scene.
Economy Class fares start from SGD170 to Labuan Bajo, SGD108 to Medan, SGD129 to Palembang, and SGD125 to Semarang, inclusive of taxes. Tickets are available through Scoot’s website, mobile app, and other booking channels.
“We are proud to strengthen Scoot’s presence in Indonesia with the launch of new flights to Labuan Bajo, Medan, Palembang and Semarang. These additions underscore our commitment to strengthen our network connectivity in Southeast Asia and provide accessible and seamless connections to the rest of the wider SIA Group network through Singapore. We will continue to seize new opportunities to expand our footprint and offer customers more travel options and memorable experiences,” said Mr. Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer of Scoot.
By February 2026, Scoot will operate over 120 weekly flights to 15 Indonesian cities, expanding its overall network to 83 destinations across 18 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.
