Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has announced the launch of new services to three destinations: Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam, and Kota Bharu in Malaysia. These flights are scheduled to commence progressively between October and November 2025.
Subject to regulatory approval, the airline also plans to begin services to Medan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia, and Okinawa in Japan during the Northern Winter 2025 season. Full flight schedules and further details will be announced through Scoot’s official communication channels.
In Vietnam, three-times-weekly flights to Da Nang will begin on 20 October 2025 using Airbus A320 family aircraft, with daily services expected by December 2025. Services to Nha Trang will start on 21 November 2025 with two flights per week on the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, increasing to five weekly flights by January 2026.
Da Nang provides access to natural attractions such as the Marble Mountains and the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary, as well as historic towns like Hoi An and Hue. Nha Trang, located further south, is noted for its seafood offerings and vibrant nightlife.
Flights to Kota Bharu in Malaysia will start on 26 October 2025 and operate twice weekly using the E190-E2. The city, located in Kelantan state, is known for its historical and cultural significance, with traditional Malay performances and crafts such as Wayang Kulit and Silat regularly featured.
Scoot stated that one-way economy class fares will start from SGD115 to Da Nang, SGD78 to Kota Bharu, and SGD135 to Nha Trang, inclusive of taxes. Bookings are now available through the airline’s website, mobile application, and other platforms progressively.
The addition of Da Nang, Nha Trang and Kota Bharu will bring Scoot’s operations to 115 weekly flights across 12 cities in Malaysia and 44 weekly flights to five cities in Vietnam.
Scoot also plans a series of network adjustments beginning in July 2025 in response to projected increases in travel demand. In Indonesia, flights to Jakarta will rise from 25 to 28 per week. The Philippines will see more services to Clark (increasing from five to seven weekly flights from August), Davao (from 10 to 12 from September), and Manila (from 13 to 14 from September), with seven Manila services operated using Boeing 787 aircraft. Services to Hat Yai, Thailand, will increase from 10 to 11 weekly flights from September.
In Australia, services to Perth will increase from 12 to 14 weekly flights from August 2025. Sydney flights will increase from 10 to 14 per week from July 2025.
“We are excited to broaden Scoot’s network with these new destinations. At the same time, the increased flight frequencies to certain cities in the upcoming months leading up to the year-end holiday season will support higher demand. We will continue to seek new opportunities for growth and expand our footprint in the region, to connect our customers to more destinations, new adventures and unique experiences,” said Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer of Scoot.
Scoot is also launching limited-time promotional fares to selected destinations through its website and mobile application from 8 to 13 July 2025. Flight schedules are subject to regulatory approvals and may be adjusted.
