Show Debut for Kalashnikov’s KUB-2-E Guided Loitering Munition

Our Bureau - : Feb 17, 2025 - : 4:34 am

Russia's Kalashnikov is showcasing small-class and medium-class KUB-2-E guided loitering munition for the first time at the ongoing IDEX.

The KUB-2-E is an advanced joint development project of the company along with Izhevsk Unmanned Systems Research and Production Association. While the small-class KUB-2-E system is designed to kill enemy personnel (including individual soldiers) and soft-skinned vehicles, the medium-class KUB-2-E is designed to attack enemy personnel, UAV system launch sites, helicopter bases, soft-skinned and light armored vehicles.

The KUB-2-E guided loitering munitions are agile and equipped with optical-electronic systems, allowing operators to target moving locations. Both munitions are heavier than 10 kg. They can be used day or night, in all weather conditions, through smoke and dust, with surface wind speeds up to 15 m/s, and under temperatures from -40 to +50 °C, even with passive and active jamming on the battlefield.
