Diehl Aviation Gilching has signed a contract with SR Technics to provide its Asian-Pacific customers MRO services through a Malaysian facility.
As per the deal, SR Technics Malaysia will be Diehl Aviation Gilching’s exclusive authorized repair station of the Asia-Pacific region. The Swiss MRO service provider SR Technics will ensure maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Diehl Aviation Gilching’s customers present in the region with the support of an OEM.
“Moving forward, we want to continue to use our established maintenance facility as a platform to work with strong partners as a designated repair station for Asia Pacific,” said Thomas Kennedy, Vice-President of Component Maintenance at SR Technics.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand granted airworthiness certification to SR Technics Malaysia in May this year. The certification, which is valid for three years, allows the facility to repair and certify components under Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority. THE MRO company already has airworthiness certifications for component maintenance of over 800 part numbers mainly belonging to Airbus and Boeing products.
