ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business has announced a new integrated airframe and nacelle maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service centre. In a first for ST Engineering’s global MRO network, the service centre combines both airframe and nacelle capabilities within its existing airframe MRO facilities in Singapore.
Jeffrey Lam, President of Commercial Aerospace, ST Engineering, said the new capability strengthens the company’s global MRO footprint and enhances customer choice. “This integrated service centre in Singapore strengthens our global MRO network and gives customers more flexibility in choosing a location that best supports their operations and MRO requirements. By streamlining communications, maintenance scheduling and work-scope management, we now offer a true one-stop experience that allows our customers to focus on flying and growing their business,” Lam added.
The integrated offering reduces operational complexity and shortens turnaround times, while ensuring consistent technical standards to deliver greater value for operators. Operators of supported aircraft platforms can consolidate airframe and nacelle maintenance work scopes at this dual-service centre.
ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business is the world’s largest airframe MRO service provider, operating a network of facilities across Asia-Pacific, the United States and Europe. The business operates nacelle MRO facilities in Stockholm, Baltimore, Melbourne and Xiamen, supported by more than 10 additional service centres worldwide that provide round-the-clock support and access to asset pools for nacelle exchange units. The company’s nacelle MRO programmes are certified by multiple aviation authorities and approved by major aviation OEMs, including Boeing, Airbus, Safran and Collins Aerospace, enabling the delivery of OEM-aligned repairs to a global customer base.
