ST Engineering Showcases Multi-Domain Innovation

Our Bureau - : Feb 2, 2026 - : 7:02 pm

ST Engineering is presenting a broad cross-section of its aerospace, defence, public safety and smart-city capabilities at Singapore Airshow 2026, underlining the Group’s focus on integrated, technology-driven solutions across air, land and urban domains.

Aviation and Uncrewed Systems

In the aviation segment, ST Engineering is highlighting the DrN-600, its first medium-lift cargo uncrewed aircraft system (UAS), co-developed with US-based partner AIR Inc. Designed to address key barriers to large-scale UAS commercialisation—particularly technology robustness and unit economics—the DrN-600 has a maximum take-off mass of under 600 kg, a range of more than 70 km, and the ability to carry payloads of up to 100 kg in a versatile cargo compartment supporting multiple standard pallet sizes.

The DrN-600 builds on operational experience accumulated since 2018 through smaller UAS platforms and has been engineered to balance performance with regulatory readiness. Certification is targeted for completion by 2028, while operational trials with prototype systems will be conducted in parallel to gather customer feedback.

ST Engineering is also showcasing a Business Aviation Thrust Reverser Unit (TRU) demonstrator for next-generation nacelle systems designed for Long Duct Mixed Flow (LDMF) configurations on business jet-sized aircraft. Using hinged, pivoting doors to redirect exhaust airflow forward during landing, the system improves deceleration performance and reduces brake wear. The demonstrator integrates high-temperature-capable composites, a fully electric actuation system and CFD-optimised aerodynamics, and has been validated through engine ground testing.

Another aviation highlight is GEMINI-X, a next-generation airborne tactical datalink system designed to connect fighters, transport aircraft and helicopters into a unified operational network. GEMINI-X provides secure communication across air and ground platforms, enhancing coordination and real-time situational awareness while integrating seamlessly with aircraft systems and ground command-and-control networks.

Defence, Public Safety and Security

In the defence and security domain, ST Engineering is promoting its Manned-Unmanned Teaming Operating System (MUMTOS), an open-architecture framework that links unmanned platforms ranging from micro-drones to unmanned aerial vehicles and humanoids through an AI-powered Command, Control and Communications system. The architecture enables swarm tactics and unified human-machine collaboration.

Also on display is the AI Cockpit, an agentic AI-enabled platform for combat land vehicles capable of autonomous decision-making and execution without constant human intervention. Enabled by a software-defined vehicle architecture, the system allows rapid insertion and scaling of AI capabilities and unified control of heterogeneous unmanned vehicles.

ST Engineering is also showcasing EagleStrike, a next-generation loitering munition featuring a dual-mode advanced payload designed for coordinated, precision beyond-line-of-sight missions against high-value targets.

Smart City and Innovation

Beyond defence and aerospace, ST Engineering is highlighting its AGIL Secure FastPass solution for contactless airport passenger processing from check-in to boarding. Combining biometrics, artificial intelligence and unified security management, the system enables safe and efficient passenger throughput at scale.

The Innovation Showcase also features the HubGen 1-MW Hydrogen Electrolyser, designed to bring hydrogen production closer to demand with integrated OT-level cybersecurity, and the I Additive Manufacturing Factory, a mobile “A.M.-in-a-box” solution enabling on-site fabrication and repair using GenAI-driven design and powder bed fusion technology.
