The Azerbaijani company Synapline Technologies operates in the development of AI-based autonomous unmanned systems and software. Based in Baku, the company develops technological solutions for the defence and security sector in cooperation with VITTA Scientific Technical Company.
One of the company’s key technological solutions is the Synap AI artificial intelligence software. The system provides unmanned platforms with autonomous and intelligent control capabilities, supporting navigation, target detection, recognition, tracking and geolocation in environments with limited GPS and communications signals. Synap AI reportedly consists of the NavAI, TargetAI and GuideAI modules.
Among Synapline Technologies’ notable products are the Aeter V1 and Aeter V2 tactical VTOL UAVs. These platforms are designed for reconnaissance, surveillance and other ISR missions, equipped with EO/IR cameras and capable of operating in environments with limited GPS and communications. The Aeter platforms can also be equipped with various payloads and integrated with other unmanned systems.
The company’s smaller unmanned systems include the Leisan LM1 loitering munition and the Stellar M1 combat and reconnaissance drone. Integrated with Synap AI, these platforms provide autonomous target detection and tracking capabilities in conditions with limited GPS and communications.
The Synap Mission command-and-control system is another important part of Synapline Technologies’ activities. The system enables the management of automatically detected targets and their coordinates, as well as video and telemetry data, providing a unified control environment for unmanned systems.
The company’s technologies have also been presented at international exhibitions. In 2026, Synapline’s products were displayed among Azerbaijan’s defence industry products at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia and DSA in Malaysia.
Overall, Synapline Technologies focuses on artificial intelligence, autonomous navigation, target recognition, unmanned aerial systems and command-and-control technologies. Its solutions are aimed particularly at expanding the capabilities of unmanned systems in complex operational environments where GPS and communications are limited.
