Tawazun Quality and Conformity has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with French company MBDA to strengthen cooperation in the testing, qualification, and evaluation of defence systems and ammunition. The agreement also covers training as well as the exchange of knowledge and technical expertise, in accordance with international standards.
Under the MoU, the two companies will collaborate on testing and qualification processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. The partnership also includes the use of advanced testing facilities and aims to support Tawazun Quality and Conformity’s goal of becoming a regional centre of excellence in defence system evaluation.
Khalid Mohammed Al Kaabi, CEO of Tawazun Quality and Conformity, stressed that signing the agreement with the French company represents an important step towards strengthening strategic partnerships with leading global companies in the defense industries sector. The agreement aims to exchange expertise and knowledge in the fields of testing and evaluation of defense systems, in line with the highest international standards. He said, "We are committed to supporting national efforts to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the highest levels of quality in defense industries, which contributes to achieving our goals in developing local capabilities and strengthening the UAE's position in this vital field," he added..
