Turkish Aerospace will display Turkish Fighter, the fifth-generation stealth twin-engine all-weather national combat aircraft, for the first time at IDEF 2021. The event will take place from Aug. 17 – 20 in İstanbul.

The company will also exhibit indigenous aerial platforms and space system projects at the event. In addition, the company’s booth will also have the Hurjet simulator.

The products that Turkish Aerospace will display are the Anka unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the larger Aksungur UAV, the Atak and Atak 2 military helicopters, the Gokbey twin-engined light transport/utility helicopter, Hurkus and Hurjet. The company will also showcase satellite projects, which have an important place in Turkey’s National Space Programme, at the event.

“When we look at aerospace and defense sector, Turkish Aerospace continues production and design in the field of aviation and space without slowing down significantly,” said Prof. Temel Kotil, Turkish Aerospace President and CEO, speaking about the impact on the pandemic on the industry. “Our company continues to contribute to the world aviation ecosystem with the R&D activities to develop indigenous platforms with talented engineers. IDEF has a significant role to share the developments regarding national defense projects to world public opinion.”

The company is working towards its goal of rolling out the Turkish Fighter on March 18, 2023, Prof. Kotil, said. “The same day we will also witness ATAK-2 and HURJET’s first flight,” he added.
