TUSAŞ will display 1:7 scale models of the GÖKBEY utility helicopter and HÜRKUŞ trainer aircraft at ADEX 2026 in Baku. Videos covering other products in the company’s portfolio will also be shown on digital displays.
The choice of physical models reflects TUSAŞ’s ongoing business-development activities in Azerbaijan. The company says the products selected for display are linked to ongoing cooperation and potential projects identified through its activities in the country, while other prospective areas will be presented through video content.
The HÜRKUŞ display comes only weeks after HÜRKUŞ-II received its Military Type Certificate. The certification process covered 12 disciplines, with 1,790 requirements verified and 153 certification tests completed. TUSAŞ says this marked Türkiye’s first military type certification of an indigenously developed air platform conducted in accordance with international standards and national expertise. Tusas
TUSAŞ is also continuing talks and site visits with Azerbaijani defence-industry authorities on possible joint production across several projects.
Cooperation with Azerbaijan already includes the ŞİMŞEK target drone programme and the LAÇIN project covering the modernisation and weapons integration of Azerbaijani Su-25 aircraft. TUSAŞ has also established TUSAŞ Azerbaijan, which has been operating for two years and supports business development, marketing and after-sales logistics activities.
In the short term, TUSAŞ aims to strengthen cooperation under projects already under agreement and turn emerging platform requirements into concrete projects. Over the longer term, it plans to work with local defence companies and use its accumulated aviation engineering expertise to position itself as a strategic solution partner for Azerbaijan.
