UAE Showcases Shipbuilding Ability

Abu Dhabi based Al Fattan Ship Industry is putting forward its growing ability in developing vessels for security forces by showcasing its model range at Cairo.

 

The shipbuilder has brought a model of the Al Fattan 16-meter vessel, which is the first combat boat built in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

 

The new vessel was displayed for the first time at NAVDEX 2017 and features aluminium and fibre- glass construction, which allows it to attain a max speed of 50 knots. The combat boat can carry 12 troops and 2 crew and is powered by two HJ403 Hamilton Jets.

 

Fuel capacity is 2200 litres. 12.7 mm machine guns can be fitted on the vessel as per the customer requirements.
