De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited has confirmed the sale of one Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft to the United States Air Force (USAF), intended for operation by the Guatemalan Air Force. The acquisition highlights the continued reliance on the Twin Otter platform for its performance and versatility in demanding environments.
The latest-generation Twin Otter Classic 300-G builds on the aircraft’s established short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability, while incorporating modern avionics, increased payload capacity, and upgraded safety systems. It is designed to support a range of missions, including humanitarian relief, medical evacuation, troop transport, and border surveillance.
“The Twin Otter Classic 300-G offers unmatched performance, versatility, and reliability for a wide range of missions—from humanitarian assistance and medical evacuation to troop transport and border surveillance,” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at De Havilland Canada. “We are proud to support and strengthen regional connectivity through this aircraft.”
The aircraft will contribute to enhanced access to remote and underserved areas in Guatemala, improve disaster response, and support regional security efforts.
The Twin Otter is in use by more than 60 military and government operators globally and has accumulated over 160 million flight hours. With the introduction of the 300-G variant, De Havilland Canada continues its commitment to providing robust and capable aircraft for both civilian and defence operations.
