Uvision Showcases Extensive Range of Loitering Munitions

Uvision, which has its headquarters in Israel, is highlighting the depth of its loitering munitions portfolio at the ongoing show.

The company’s HERO family of loitering munitions provides front-line forces with long-range independent fire capability, combined with advanced intelligence-gathering ability. The loitering munitions have a unique cruciform wing configuration that enables high maneuverability, allowing the operator to maintain ‘eyes-on-target’ and enable accurate hitting capabilities in constricted battle-scenario conditions. The smaller models of the HERO series, such as the HERO 30, HERO 90, and HERO 120 are lightweight and man-portable; they can be deployed within 2–3 minutes, launched, and fully controlled by a single operator.  The larger models - HERO 400EC, HERO 900, and HERO 1250 - are transported and launched from platforms such as land vehicles or naval vessels.

The Hero 30 weighs 8.5 Kg and can be equipped with a warhead weighing 0.5 Kg. The maximum range is 15 Km while the endurance is up to 30 minutes. The Hero 90 weighs 18Kg and is capable of carrying a 3 kg warhead. Maximum range and endurance are 40Km and 45 minutes respectively. The bigger Hero 120 weighs 24 Kg and can carry a warhead of 4.5 Kg. The maximum range is 60 Km while endurance is up to an hour.  The larger class Hero 400 weighs 110 Kg and has a 10 kg warhead. The maximum range is 150 Km while endurance is up to 120 minutes. HERO 900 is capable of carrying a 30 kg warhead and enduring 6 hours of flight time. Its range is 150 km. Hero 1250 weighs 155 kg and is capable of carrying a 50 kg warhead. Its maximum range is more than 20 km while endurance is more than 14 hours.

“Recent conflicts have proved how crucial loitering munitions are to battle plans,” said Arik Rubinchik, VP, Global Business Development. “We are seeing interest in our products from all parts of the world as they are operational and combat proven.”

The company’s Viper family includes the VIPER 300 hovering drone system that enables precision strikes and beyond-line-of-sight engagement, the multi-canister launcher for the swift deployment of the VIPER 300 UAS, the VIPER I (Interceptor) system that provides interception capability against aerial threats such as drones and loitering munitions, and the Viper 750.
