Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC), Vietnam’s largest private airline, has reported strong momentum in the third quarter of 2025, positioning itself for further expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. The carrier achieved 97% of its annual business plan by the end of 3Q2025, supported by rising international travel demand and continued strengthening of aviation connectivity in the region.
Vietjet recorded air transport revenue of VND16.728 trillion (approx. USD650 million) and a pre-tax profit of VND393 billion (approx. USD15.3 million) in the quarter, underscoring renewed confidence in regional air travel. For the first nine months of 2025, the airline generated air transport revenue totalling VND52.329 trillion (approx. USD2.03 billion) with VND1.987 trillion (approx. USD77 million) in pre-tax profit — a 28% year-on-year increase.
The data was first disclosed by Vietjet through an official business update issued in Singapore. Consolidated revenue for the same period reached VND52.769 trillion (approx. USD2.05 billion), while consolidated profit grew 17% year-on-year to VND2.051 trillion (approx. USD79.4 million). Ancillary revenue — a growing income stream for airlines worldwide — contributed 41% to air revenue, reaching VND6.893 trillion (approx. USD268 million) with 19% YoY growth.
Boosted by strong passenger recovery across Asia, Vietjet now operates 219 routes, including 169 international services. Its fleet of 98 aircraft serviced 21.5 million passengers as of 30 September 2025, achieving an 86% load factor and 99.72% technical reliability, placing the airline among the most efficient operators in its market segment.
Singapore has emerged as one of Vietjet’s key growth markets. To support the rising wave of leisure travel and cross-border business activity between Vietnam and Singapore — two rapidly expanding economies — the airline will:
With the newly launched Singapore–Phu Quoc service, Vietjet expects to transport over 500,000 passengers annually between the two nations — reinforcing Vietnam’s push as a preferred short-haul holiday and investment destination for Southeast Asia.
Vietjet’s Board has approved a 20% stock dividend, issuing more than 118.3 million shares valued above VND1.183 trillion (approx. USD45.8 million). The decision reflects both profitability and liquidity resilience — a strategic signal as the airline pursues operational scaling and fleet enhancement.
The airline continues to invest in next-generation aviation capabilities, including:
-- A dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Centre at the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport
-- Trials of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on selected routes to reduce emissions
-- Advanced training and simulation upgrades at Vietjet Aviation Academy
Industry recognition continues to follow: Vietjet recently earned AirlineRatings’ 2025 Sustainability Award, a listing among Asia’s Best Workplaces, and inclusion in Forbes Vietnam’s Top 50 Best Public Companies — cementing its rising influence in Asia’s competitive low-cost carrier segment.
With fuel prices stabilising, supportive market conditions and strong technology adoption, Vietjet projects continued expansion in 2026 — aligning with regional forecasts that Asia-Pacific will remain the world’s fastest-growing aviation market.
