This deal is among the largest announced at this year's Airshow. The new aircraft will be utilised for Vietjet's expanding long-haul services and high-demand regional routes. They are set to replace the airline’s current A330-300 fleet, supporting Vietjet's strategic goal to expand its intercontinental flight network.

“The new A330neo aircraft strategically enhance Vietjet's fleet development, boosting the airline’s operational capacity to support its global expansion. The introduction of advanced, fuel-efficient A330neo aircraft into Vietjet's fleet is part of our sustainable development strategy and ESG goals, aiming for Net-Zero emissions by 2050,” said Vietjet's Chairwoman, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao..

“Passengers will soon enjoy safer, more comfortable, and modern long-haul flights. Airbus planes have enabled Vietjet to bring cost-effective flying opportunities to over 200 million passengers, including many first-time flyers, connecting peoples, nations, and continents, promoting economic development and cultural exchange,” she added.

The A330neo boasts an award-winning Airspace cabin that offers passengers a unique flying experience with features such as a new lighting system, larger overhead bins, and access to the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems. Powered by the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330-900 can fly 7,200 nm / 13,300 km non-stop.

Vietjet, with a fleet of over 105 aircraft and a steadily increasing passenger volume, is actively expanding its intercontinental flight network. The airline is developing new and modern fleets in collaboration with global strategic partners such as Airbus.
