Indian carrier Vistara has signed a letter of Intent for 13 A320neo aircraft to add to its existing portfolio of 21 Airbus aircraft, Airbus announced on the opening day of the ongoing FIA 2018. The plane-maker also said that StarLux Airlines , a Taiwanese startup, would buying 12 A350-1000 aircraft and five A350-900s in a US $6 billion deal. ‘

China’s Sichuan Airlines had ordered 10 Airbus A350 XWB jets, Airbus said, confirming a deal struck earlier in 2018. The total value of the deal is US$3.2 billion. According to media reports, the company is also working on closing a US$23 billion aircraft deal with AirAsia Group.

Vistara has signed a letter of Intent for 13 A320neo aircraft to add to its existing portfolio of 21 Airbus aircraft. The carrier has also committed to an additional 37 A320neo Family aircraft from lessors, thus adding a total of 50 A320neo Family aircraft to its fleet. The new aircraft will be equipped with CFM Leap engines. The A320neo will be the carrier’s first aircraft to fly regional international routes.

The A320neo family, which features the widest single aisle cabin, is equipped with new generation engines and Sharklets, thus delivering more than 15 percent fuel and CO2 savings from day one and 20 percent by 2020. The new technologies on the aircraft also result in a  50 percent noise reduction.
