Tenerife Civil Defence Contracts Aeronáutica SDLE for RPAS

Aeronautica SDLE has announced that it will provide a remotely piloted aerial system (RPAS) to the Tenerife City Council. The RPAS will be operated by municipality Civil Defence Service Drones Unit for taking images for topography applications, emergency, search and rescue operations.

 The delivery of the new RPAS is expected to be concluded in the next few weeks. The Tenerife Civil Defence Drones Unit already has two RPAS for taking images.

 Aeronautica SDLE will supply its Thyra v1 quadcopter specifically adapted to the needs of Tenerife Civil Defence, which already operates two RPAS for imagery work. The additional RPAS will increase the municipalities ability to undertake search missions in unfavorable weather conditions.

 The Thyra v1 quadcopter weighs less than 5 kg and features a monitor with an high brightness screen, an integrated first-person vision camera (FPV), a dual camera with electro-optical sensor and thermal sensor.
