MiG-35 Completes Factory Tests

: Feb 16, 2018 - : 10:36 am

Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has announced the completion of the factory tests for the MiG-35.

The official test completion certificate was granted in December 2017 after testing and checking of all on-board radio-electronic equipment, armament and navigation system, radar equipment, engines and all the aircraft systems.

The MiG-35 is a further development of the MiG-29K/KUB and features fifth generation information-sighting systems integrated into aircraft airborne avionics.

The aircraft will also be offered with advanced Russian air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons, which have previously not been offered for export.

The aircraft also features a new integrated EW system and the MiG-35s  open architecture allows installation of new equipment and weapons of Russian and foreign origin

The aircraft flight hour cost is said to be almost 2.5 times lower than that of legacy MiG-29 fighters.
