787 brake-down

News is rife that a new 787 Dreamliner has been grounded for about a week with sticky brakes. The Norwegian Air Shuttle (NAS) aircraft was delivered in August but has not being used on a scheduled flight as yet.

“We have been working 24/7 with Boeing … to try and fix this but it’s still not fixed and we really don’t have a specific timeframe,” said NAS spokesman Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen recently in an interview, adding that the airline had leased replacement Airbus A340s to make up the lost capacity.
