Air Astana’s 3rd New Boeing 767 Arrives in Kazakhstan

Air Astana’s third Boeing 767-300ER arrived in Almaty last week, bringing the average age of its fleet down to only 5.4 years; the youngest in Central Asia and one of the youngest in the world. The first two new Boeing 767s for Air Astana were delivered in December 2013.

Air Astana’s new Boeing 767s are configured with 30 full-flat reclining seats with 15 inch video screens in Business Class and 193 seats with 9 inch video screens in Economy Class. The aircraft are operated on long haul routes from Almaty and Astana to Bangkok, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.

The Air Astana fleet comprises of 30 Boeing 767, Boeing 757, Airbus A320 and Embraer 190 aircraft.

Air Astana is a joint venture between Kazakhstan’s national wealth fund Samruk Kazyna and BAE Systems, with respective shares of 51% and 49%.
