CAE has successfully launched CAE Rise offering for flight training operations in Korea with an order from Air Busan.

The Canadian firm announced the order at the ongoing airshow. Air Busan is the first airline in Korea to leverage CAE’s innovative training system based on big data.

“This agreement is the next step in increasing AIR BUSAN’s safety index through world-class training and advanced technology,” said Jung Chang Jae, Air Busan’s Vice President, Operation Division “By leveraging big data, Air Busan, will now be able to ensure the highest flight training standards to train its pilots. Through CAE Rise, pilot reaction times, such as brake application timing during a landing procedure, can be monitored and evaluated to improve flight training quality.”

CAE’s Rise can harness the power of big data analytics to train the safest pilots, while leveraging insights to continuously adapt and improve airline flight training programmes.

The two firms share a longstanding partnership that spans almost a decade and we are thrilled to expand the CAE Rise training system to their Airbus A320 fleet,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President Civil Aviation. Air Busan has trained exclusively at CAE’s Training Centre in Korea since 2013.
