Airbus boosts prices

Despite selling more aircraft (or maybe because) Airbus has increased its average prices by 2.6% for the coming year. Having exceeded commercial targets in 2013, with 626 aircraft deliveries to 93 customers, it sees continuing growth, says John Leahy, Airbus COO, Customers.

“We see continuing strong demand in all aircraft size categories,” he said, emphasising the company’s commitment to cabin comfort as a key issue. Airbus has sold nearly 14,000 aircraft to date, and has a current order book of more that 1,600 outstanding.
