Airbus will display a wide range of military platforms at the third edition of Asian Defence & Security (ADAS) 2018 exhibition to be in Manila, the Philippines on 26-28th September.
Airbus is looking to strengthen its existing partnerships with the Philippine military at the show and will present its new-generation A400M military airlifter, through the eyes of a HoloLens augmented reality system to demonstrate the aircrafts versatility.
Three Airbus C295 medium aircraft are also in operation with the Philippine Air Force and the C295 MPA which is configured for maritime patrol operations could also attracted interest at the show. The Pleiades satellite, which offers very high resolution earth observation imagery that can be utilised for both civil and military applications will also be showcased.
With 76 helicopters in service in the country, Airbus leads the Philippine rotorcraft market. The H125 and H135 light single engine helicopters, H135 and H145 light twins and H155 and Dauphin medium helicopters are all operating in the Philippines.
Airbus also set up a local helicopter unit to focus on sales, marketing and support services in the country in 1997.
Information will also be available at the show for Airbus’ entire range of helicopter models, including the versatile light-twin H145 and 11-tonne multirole H225 helicopters.
