Americas GSA Extends Partnership with JetBlue Cargo

Our Bureau - : Jun 12, 2024 - : 9:48 pm

Americas GSA, a subsidiary of ECS Group, announced a strategic partnership with JetBlue Cargo. This partnership marks a significant development for both parties to enhance services on domestic routes from Florida. The agreement took effect in Florida State in February 2023 and extended to Puerto Rico on 1 June 2024.

The partnership will see Americas GSA utilise the Augmented GSSA capabilities of ECS Group to bolster JetBlue’s network, improving its domestic and international cargo operations. The model offers a customised, à la carte service encompassing support, services, and solutions not typically provided by traditional GSAs. While the initial focus is on traditional GSA services, the partnership also lays the groundwork for expanding JetBlue’s operations through interline agreements and the management of new commodities.

“This partnership with JetBlue represents a pivotal moment for Americas GSA. By expanding our operations within the U.S. market, we are opening new avenues for growth and innovation in cargo services,” said Adrien Thominet, Executive Chairman of ECS Group. “JetBlue will benefit from the support of the entire ECS Group alongside Americas GSA in Florida.”

Pablo Canales, CEO of Americas GSA, added, “We have built a strong relationship with JetBlue’s top management over the years, and this contract is the culmination of our collaborative efforts. We are committed to supporting JetBlue in expanding its cargo operations, both domestically and internationally, and exploring new opportunities to enhance their service offerings.”

The partnership underscores Americas GSA’s strategic intent to bolster its presence in Florida’s cargo market. By integrating with JetBlue’s operations, Americas GSA will offer tailored solutions through its Augmented GSSA model, facilitating the airline’s growth and expanding its cargo network. This opens up new business opportunities and potentially broadens JetBlue’s cargo operations on an international scale.
