: Nov 17, 2020 - : 4:27 am

Indian regional carrier, Star Air is implementing Collins Aerospace’s ARINC PaxLink Passenger Service System to manage its reservations, inventory, distribution and departure control with the integrated cloud-based system.

“We were looking beyond a Passenger Service System vendor – we found Collins Aerospace to be the reliable business partner who could support Star Air in our journey towards operational excellence,” said Ajay Bhatkal, chief information officer for Star Air. “PaxLink’s robust system, seamless migration and integration, together with its flexibility to be customized according to our requirements will help Star Air meet the challenges of today and demands of tomorrow.”

The scalability and flexibility of PaxLink also easily enables Star Air to now comply with all UDAN route guidelines, selling classes and fare restrictions as well as gain alignments with IATA-one order and DGCA industry regulations.

UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik ) is a central government initiative to improve air connectivity in India.

“As we see more airlines modernize with digital transformations, PaxLink is a key solution in helping airlines to better manage its broad array of passenger service needs through one interface,” said Clotilde Enel’Rehel, general manager for Commercial Aviation & Network Services for Collins Aerospace. “By integrating connectivity, Star Air can more efficiently manage its growing passenger base at a lower cost with the highest reliability.”

Airlines can select from a number of modules with PaxLink to create a tailored solution that streamlines passenger check-in, boarding, flight load planning, online reservation sales, inventory management and distribution through online travel agencies (OTA).

In addition, PaxLink kiosk integration and digital check-in minimize queues and the need for check-in desks.

PaxLink is currently used by more than 20 airlines and handling agents across the world to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
